While Bayport-Blue Point put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Pierson. The Phantoms blew past the Whalers 9-0. Winning may never get old, but the Phantoms sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row dating back to last season.

Bayport-Blue Point got a great performance from Brady Gelling as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Guytano Kiesel was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Tyler McKillop was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Bayport-Blue Point's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pierson, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Bayport-Blue Point will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Whalers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
