Softball Recap: Wolfe County Comes Up Short

Wolfe County suffered their closest loss since April 24, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the IC Catholic Prep Knights by a score of 4-2. The contest marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Chloy Creech was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Wolfe County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season. The win got IC Catholic Prep back to even at 3-3.

Coincidentally, Wolfe County and IC Catholic Prep will both be playing Lewis County the next time they take the field. IC Catholic Prep will head out to face Lewis County at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Wolfe County will head out to face them at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
