Football Recap: St. Michael the Archangel Has No Trouble Against University Academy Charter/Kauffman

St. Michael the Archangel not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 42-0). They blew past the University Academy Charter/Kauffman Gryphons 31-7. The win continues a trend for the Guardians in their matchups with the Gryphons: they've now won three in a row.

St. Michael the Archangel had a senior duo take command as Luis Tellado rushed for 134 yards and two scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry and Gage Burgess rushed for 31 yards and one touchdown. Those 134 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Tellado.

St. Michael the Archangel now has a winning record of 4-3. As for University Academy Charter/Kauffman, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, St. Michael the Archangel will head out on the road to challenge Hogan Prep Charter at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. University Academy Charter/Kauffman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
