Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Seaman

Seaman proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Andover Central Jaguars 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kynnedi Kitzman looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Avery Phelps, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Seaman, bringing their record up to 9-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Andover Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Seaman has already played their next match, a 12-4 victory against Piper on the 22nd. Andover Central has also already played their next game (against Maize South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
