Softball Game Preview: Davis County Mustangs vs. Wayne Falcons

Davis County is 2-8 against Wayne since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Mustangs will host the Falcons at 7:00 p.m.

Davis County had taken Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 9-8.

Meanwhile, Wayne had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They never let the Raiders & Raiderettes get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won 13 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Davis County's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Wayne, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.
