Basketball Game Preview: Truman Patriots vs. Excelsior Springs Tigers

The Truman Patriots will venture away from home to take on the Excelsior Springs Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Truman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.

Truman took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Chrisman 70-43. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for the Patriots this season.

Meanwhile, Excelsior Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 57-43 bruising from Odessa.

Truman now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Excelsior Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Truman against Excelsior Springs when the teams last played back in January of 2023, as the team secured a 76-34 win. Does Truman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Excelsior Springs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
