Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Jefferson Forest walked away with it. They came out on top against the Millbrook Pioneers by a score of 7-4 on Friday. The Cavaliers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Amelia Long spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ashleigh Johnson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Lauren Smith was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Jefferson Forest's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. As for Millbrook, they moved to 12-14 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Jefferson Forest nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
