Recap: Eastern Greene Thunderbirds vs. North Knox Warriors

The Eastern Greene Thunderbirds struggled with assists on Saturday (the North Knox Warriors had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Eastern Greene had to suffer through a rough 52-13 loss at the hands of North Knox. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eastern Greene has scored all season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Eastern Greene struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

It was another big night for Lexi Primus, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals for North Knox. Primus is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Alex Mckinley was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Eastern Greene has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for North Knox, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with that win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

Eastern Greene will head out on the road to face off against Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mitchell has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. As for North Knox, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Shoals at 7:30 p.m. Shoals will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 341st, while North Knox is ranked 21st).
