Basketball Recap: Meadville Beats Mcdowell for Their Third Straight Victory

Meadville hadn't done well against McDowell recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Meadville Bulldogs snuck past the McDowell Trojans with a 39-35 win. The 39-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meadville had a senior duo take command as Jack Burchard posted 14 points and Lucas Luteran earned nine points and eight boards. Luteran is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Tykie Butler was another key player, putting up five points.

The victory was the third in a row for Meadville, bringing their record for this year to 15-7. As for McDowell, their loss dropped their record down to 18-4.
