Even though the Lake City Panthers scored an imposing 56 points on Wednesday, the Scott's Branch Eagles still came out on top. Scott's Branch pulled ahead with a 57-56 photo finish over Lake City. The win made it back-to-back wins for Scott's Branch.
Jordan Kind was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds. Nyren Bowman was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Lake City's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Blayne Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Edwards is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dallas Davis, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 assists.
Scott's Branch now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lake City, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scott's Branch will take on Manning at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake City, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Atlantic Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 9th. Atlantic Collegiate Academy will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
