Central waltzed into their matchup on Monday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They walked away with a 13-10 victory over the Muscle Shoals Trojans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-3 on April 3rd.

The team relied heavily on Kilee Dowdy, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Mycah Beth Ray, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in six consecutive games.

Central's win bumped their record up to 34-8. As for Muscle Shoals, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Muscle Shoals, they will be playing at home against Florence at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.33 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
