Basketball Recap: Deering Takes a Loss

If Deering was riding high fresh off their 76-56 takedown of Sanford last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Deering Rams lost to the Portland Bulldogs on the road by a 60-41 margin on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Deering's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Portland, they pushed their record up to 5-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Deering will welcome Bonny Eagle at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Portland, they will head out on the road to square off against Edward Little at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
