Tanner came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they left with even more momentum. They slipped by the Danville Hawks 50-49.

When it comes to explaining why Danville lost, don't look at Ty Bailey. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Jace Glenn, who posted nine points.

Tanner pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Danville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Tanner will host Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Danville, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Danville Hawks face off against the East Lawrence Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
