Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Kennedy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Novato, Kennedy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Elk Grove Thundering Herd by a score of 64-56. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Titans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 929th, while the Thundering Herd are ranked 65th).

Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Elk Grove, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will venture away from home to square off against Amador Valley at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Elk Grove, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hillsdale at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. One thing working in Elk Grove's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
