Baseball Recap: Calhoun Academy Takes a Loss

Calhoun Academy suffered their closest loss since March 29, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Ingomar Falcons by a score of 8-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 last Monday.

Levi Walls was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI. Bronnor Bingham also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Calhoun Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Ingomar, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Calhoun Academy Cougars take on Regents Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Regents will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Calhoun Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ingomar, they will head out on the road to challenge Hickory Flat at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
