Volleyball Recap: Huntsville Falls Short Against Ranked Austin

Huntsville faced Austin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Black Bears. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Black Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Huntsville lost, don't look at Lacey Hollis. Despite the final result, she had 17 digs and one assist.

Huntsville moved to 35-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Austin, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 40-7.

Coming up, Huntsville will square off against Vestavia Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Austin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
