Softball Recap: Apple Springs Takes a Loss

Apple Springs lost against Crockett back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Apple Springs Eagles took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crockett Bulldogs. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Apple Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kymber Roberts, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Another was Lauren Lankford, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Apple Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Crockett, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Apple Springs didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-3 loss against West Rusk on the 28th. As for Crockett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-1 win against New Summerfield on the 1st.
