Basketball Recap: Cherokee County Warriors vs. Fort Payne Wildcats

Cherokee County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Payne Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 70-63 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.

Despite the loss, Cherokee County saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tatum Perry posted 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.
