Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Independence

Liberty is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Independence a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Liberty Redhawks will welcome the Independence Knights at 5:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Friday just wasn't the day for Liberty's offense. They came up short against Heritage on Friday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Redhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while the Coyotes are ranked 192nd).

Meanwhile, Independence also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 3-0 to Memorial on Friday.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
