Baseball Recap: Jennings Bulldogs vs. Plaquemine Green Devils

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jennings had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They beat the Plaquemine Green Devils by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Jennings.

Addison Finley looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Jude Monic was excellent, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Fontenot, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Jennings is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season. As for Plaquemine, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 20-17-1 record this season.

Jennings does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Plaquemine also has no future games currently scheduled.
