Baseball Game Preview: Elmore County Panthers vs. Valley Rams

For the second straight game, Elmore County will face off against Valley. The Panthers will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Elmore County is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Elmore County's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Valley with a sharp 8-0 win.

For Valley's part, they got a good showing from Austin Barber, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew McDonald, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base. Aj Harper also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Elmore County now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Valley, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8-1.
