Baseball Recap: Southwest Comes Up Short

Southwest lost against Purdy back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Purdy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Southwest will head out on the road to square off against Miller at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Purdy, they will be playing at home against Pierce City at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
