Volleyball Game Preview: Williams Field Black Hawks vs. Perry Pumas

The Williams Field Black Hawks will venture away from home to take on the Perry Pumas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Williams Field is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Mountain View, who was ranked 16th at the time (Williams Field was ranked eighth). The Black Hawks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Toros on Friday.

Williams Field was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 20-25, 25-20.

Tragdon Jenkins was nothing short of spectacular: he had 18 digs and one assist. That's the most digs he has posted since back in March. Jared Lakin also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Meanwhile, Perry had already won 11 in a row and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jaguars.

Perry's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 39-4. As for Williams Field, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.
