Basketball Game Preview: Waterloo Pirates vs. Wisconsin Heights Vanguards

Waterloo is on a ten-game streak of home losses, Wisconsin Heights a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Waterloo Pirates will host the Wisconsin Heights Vanguards at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Waterloo took a blow against Marshall, falling 100-50. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 488th, while the Cardinals are ranked 108th).

Meanwhile, Wisconsin Heights scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 77-76 to Pecatonica. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (62), the Vanguards still had to take the loss.

Wisconsin Heights' loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Waterloo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-18.
