Davis is 2-8 against Fremont since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Darts will be playing at home against the Silverwolves at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Fremont will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Davis extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Darts' pitcher stepped up to hand Syracuse a 6-0 shutout.

Syracuse's batters probably weren't too happy with Sam Sevy, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (he gave up a single walk). Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Sevy.
At the plate, Tyson Baggett was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Mcguire, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Fremont came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Phoenix with a sharp 12-5 victory.
Fremont let Cole Sanders and Kasen Pearson run wild. Sanders scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Pearson went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double. The dominant performance also gave Sanders a new career-high in RBI (three). Adam Mikesell was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Fremont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Farmington only posted a batting average of .182.
Fremont pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Davis, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Davis has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Fremont struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Davis was able to grind out a solid victory over Fremont in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 8-5. Do the Darts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Silverwolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
