Soccer Recap: Wheeling Victorious

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wheeling). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the North Chicago Warhawks on Tuesday. The score was close at halftime, but Wheeling pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Nicole Schreiner and Mia Waszczak scored all three of Wheeling's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Wheeling's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for North Chicago, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wheeling will venture away from home to challenge Fremd at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fremd have yet to allow a single goal through four games this season, a streak Wheeling will look to end. As for North Chicago, they will face off against Cristo Rey St. Martin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
