Volleyball Recap: Piedmont Classical Comes Up Short

Piedmont Classical was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-0, 25-4, 25-1.

Ashley Belland had an outrageously good game for Cornerstone Charter as she had 13 assists and 12 aces. That's the most aces Belland has posted since back in September.

Piedmont Classical's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Cornerstone Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Piedmont Classical does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cornerstone Charter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Leadership Academy on the 10th.
