Softball Recap: Douglass Red Devils vs. Trezevant Bears
Douglass couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Trezevant Bears by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday.
For Trezevant's part, Clara Tucker was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Deviana Parker, who went 1-for-1 with a triple and a run.
The win made it two in a row for Trezevant and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
Douglass will be playing in front of their home fans against KIPP Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trezevant, they will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against King Prep at 5:00 p.m.
