University Prep is 9-1 against Yreka since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will face off against the Miners at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Thursday, University Prep made easy work of West Valley and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

While University Prep might've won, it sure wasn't easy: West Valley scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 28-26, 25-23.

University Prep can attribute much of their success to Maya Tabarez, who had ten digs.

Meanwhile, Yreka got the win against Anderson on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Yreka not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Anderson between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-18.

University Prep's win bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Yreka, their victory bumped their record up to 16-13.

University Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Yreka in their previous meeting on Saturday, winning 2-0. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Miners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
