Baseball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Washington took on Raytown South on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell 3-0 to the Cardinals. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Raytown South, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-10 record this season.

Washington will venture away from home to challenge Sumner Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Raytown South, they will host Cardinal Ritter College Prep at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
