Football Preview: Trabuco Hills Mustangs vs. Mayfair Monsoons        
        
		
             The Trabuco Hills Mustangs will be playing at home against the Mayfair Monsoons  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  both  will really light up the scoreboard.
 Last Thursday, Trabuco Hills and Western were almost perfectly matched up, but Trabuco Hills suffered  a  36-35 loss. While the Mustangs had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Pioneers  14-8.
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Tristan Zale, who threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 34 yards. He is  on a roll when it comes to  passing touchdowns, as he's  now  passed for three or more in the last three games he's  played.  Mikey Gray was in the mix  as well, providing Trabuco Hills with two touchdowns.
 Even if they lost, Trabuco Hills' defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Max Warrior. With that strong performance,  he is now averaging an impressive 5.5  total tackles per game.
 Meanwhile,  after a string of four wins, Mayfair's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They took  a  49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Downey. While losing is never fun, the Monsoons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings  (they are ranked 140th, while the Vikings are ranked 35th).
 Mayfair might have lost, but man,  Louis Johnson was a machine:  he rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Johnson's longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jeremiah Calvin, who threw for 158 yards and a touchdown while completing 86.4% of his passes.
 Trabuco Hills has  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record  this season. As for Mayfair, their defeat  ended  a  ten-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 7-3.
