Basketball Recap: Shawnee Mission North Gets the Win + How To Watch

If Lawrence Free State wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Shawnee Mission North, they should've done a better job of containing Tamiah Washington. The Bison came out on top against the Firebirds by a score of 51-40 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Washington, who went 9-for-17 en route to 24 points in addition to eight steals and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Shawnee Mission North's points.

Several Firebirds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addie Fulscher, who posted 13 points.

The win got Shawnee Mission North back to even at 2-2. As for Lawrence Free State, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
