Volleyball Recap: Steele Canyon Beats Monte Vista for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Steele Canyon came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Monte Vista Monarchs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Cougars not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 7th (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-16, 25-12.

Taylor Carpenter paced Steele Canyon's offense, picking up 11 kills. Carpenter got some help from Chloe Stock and her 13 assists. Macie Sicat controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Steele Canyon's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Monte Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Steele Canyon is set to take on their familiar foe El Cajon Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Monte Vista will face off against rival Mount Miguel at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
