Cross County took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Gibbon , sneaking past 16-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since September 22, 2023.

Superior's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lincoln Sander, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Kyler Boyles was another key back, rushing for 139 yards and a touchdown.

Boyles wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Superior was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palmyra only rushed for 127.
