Softball Recap: Wesley Chapel Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wesley Chapel entered their tilt with Sumner on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Stingrays. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Stingrays, too.

Bailey Garrison was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Alanis Escalante, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Wesley Chapel pushed their record up to 12-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Sumner, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Looking ahead, Wesley Chapel will be playing at home against Sickles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sumner, they will venture away from home to challenge Wharton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Stingrays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
