Basketball Recap: Marion H Comes Up Short

Marion H had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Kokomo HomeSchool Eagles on Saturday, falling 46-23. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hawks have suffered since December 6, 2024.

Kokomo HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Beery led the charge by putting up 12 points along with seven boards and three steals. That's the most steals Beery has posted since back in February. Grayson Hembree was another key player, earning 15 points.

Kokomo HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Marion H will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gilead Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Kokomo HomeSchool, they will venture away from home to take on Indianapolis Northwest W at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
