Soccer Game Preview: Bradenton Christian vs. Out-of-Door Academy

Bradenton Christian and Out-of-Door Academy are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2017, but likely not for long. The Bradenton Christian Panthers will square off against the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bradenton Christian has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with seven straight losses, while Out-of-Door Academy will come in with three straight wins.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Bradenton Christian's offense. They came up short against Southeast on Wednesday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 544th, while the Seminoles are ranked 269th).

Meanwhile, Out-of-Door Academy's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Cardinal Mooney 2-1. That's two games straight that the Thunder have won by just one goal.

Josey Rubinstein and Noah Rodriquez scored both of Out-of-Door Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Out-of-Door Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-1-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those six contests. As for Bradenton Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1.

Bradenton Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Out-of-Door Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2023, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bradenton Christian since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
