Tate Summerday posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 5.5 strikeouts per game. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
