Volleyball Recap: Northwest Christian Finds Playoff Glory Versus Seton Catholic

With a playoff win on the line, Northwest Christian rose to the challenge on Thursday. They didn't even let the Seton Catholic Sentinels on the board, marking their second-straight 3-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Sentinels: they've now won four in a row.

While Northwest Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23, 25-21.

Lincoln Hubbard paced Northwest Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Hubbard got some help from Gavin Helmer and his 22 assists. Helmer was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Northwest Christian pushed their record up to 24-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Seton Catholic, they moved to 27-8 with that defeat, which also ended their 13-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Northwest Christian nor the Sentinels have any future games scheduled.
