Lecanto had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Hernando on Tuesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Leopards with a sharp 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Lecanto walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-11, 25-18.
Devin Pulham paced Lecanto's offense, picking up 12 kills. Pulham really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 13. Kennedy DiMase controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.
Lecanto's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Hernando, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Coming up, Lecanto will challenge West Port at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hernando, they will host Foundation Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
