Hampton came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Kecoughtan Warriors 91-10. Given the Crabbers' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Warriors are ranked 315th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hampton pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.1 points per game. As for Kecoughtan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hampton will square off against Denbigh at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kecoughtan, they will take on Menchville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Menchville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Kecoughtan likes a good challenge.
