While Alief Elsik's win against Alief Hastings wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Alief Elsik Rams narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Alief Hastings Bears 8-7. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Thania Lopez, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Arayiah Lute, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Lopez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Alief Elsik kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. Alief Elsik is a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Alief Elsik's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Alief Hastings, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Alief Elsik will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Foster at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. Alief Elsik is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season. Alief Hastings will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Alief Taylor at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. Alief Hastings is facing Alief Taylor at the right time seeing as Alief Taylor is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
