Soccer Game Preview: Albemarle vs. Charlottesville

Albemarle has won three straight games at home, while Charlottesville has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Patriots will host the Black Knights at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Albemarle didn't have quite enough to beat Monticello and fell 5-4.

Meanwhile, Charlottesville kept a clean sheet against Goochland last Thursday. They blew past the Bulldogs 5-0. Charlottesville's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matchups.

Gilbert Kashindi and Thimson Duolo scored all five of Charlottesville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Albemarle's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2-1. As for Charlottesville, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
