Northern is 5-0 against Meyersdale since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Northern Huskies will look to defend their home court against the Meyersdale Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Northern suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Fort Hill, falling 84-41. Northern has struggled against Fort Hill recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Meyersdale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 70-37 loss at the hands of Berlin Brothersvalley. Meyersdale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-24.
Northern has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Meyersdale, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Northern against Meyersdale in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 72-35 victory. Will Northern repeat their success, or does Meyersdale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
