Basketball Recap: Wylie Skates Past South Garland with Ease

Wylie won the last time they faced South Garland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wylie Pirates claimed a resounding 53-8 win over the South Garland Titans. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Titans are ranked 1312th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wylie has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for South Garland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.

Wylie has already played their next contest, a 70-22 victory against Naaman Forest on the 17th. As for South Garland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-9 defeat against Lakeview Centennial on the 17th.
