Mercyhurst Prep came out on top against Grove City on Thursday thanks in part to Rocco Almonte's efforts. Almonte scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, which was good enough to set a new career-high in hits.

Looking ahead, Almonte and Mercyhurst Prep will square off against Fairview at 4:00 p.m. on the 4th. The Lakers have some work to do to even out the 2-7 series between these two since April of 2022, but a win here would be a good start.
