It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Neuqua Valley had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Romeoville Spartans a 9-0 shutout. Neuqua Valley might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Romeoville from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Selma Larbi led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win (which was Neuqua Valley's fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those four games. As for Romeoville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

As of now, neither Neuqua Valley nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
