Preview: Millersburg Indians vs. Halifax Wildcats
Millersburg and Halifax are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Millersburg Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Halifax Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Millersburg is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
On Thursday, Millersburg was the victim of a tough 62-39 loss at the hands of Hanover.
The losing side was boosted by Kamdyn Heintzelman, who scored 23 points along with four steals. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Meanwhile, Halifax made easy work of East Juniata on Tuesday and carried off a 67-45 win. Given Halifax's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while East Juniata is ranked 561st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Millersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Halifax, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Millersburg and Halifax were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Millersburg came up empty-handed after a 66-65 defeat. Can Millersburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
