Basketball Recap: Geneseo Takes a Loss

Geneseo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 60-39 to the Annawan Braves/Bravettes. The Maple Leafs were probably out for revenge after losing 46-29 to them when the teams met back in November of 2014, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Geneseo's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Annawan, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Geneseo will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dixon at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Annawan, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against East Dubuque at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Annawan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully East Dubuque likes a good challenge.
