Volleyball Recap: Girard Comes Up Short

If Girard was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Conneaut on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yellowjackets lost 3-0 to the Seneca Bobcats on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14, 25-8.

Seneca was led to victory by Samantha Harvey and Madison Morvay. Harvey had six digs and three aces, while Morvay had eight kills. Those three aces gave Harvey a new career-high.

Girard's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Seneca, they moved to 4-8-3 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Girard is set to challenge their familiar foe Fairview at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Seneca will face off against rival North East at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
